Who we work with

Tell us who to contact and who signs off. One person gathering feedback keeps the build on schedule.

We review feedback in two consolidated rounds, so one person collecting notes from both of you works best.
Brand

Logos, colors and fonts

Upload the logo versions you have. PNG with a transparent background or SVG is ideal. If you only have PDF, AI or EPS files, drop a link to them below.

sugarfina.com: the gift box layout and clean product photos.
lolli-and-pops.com: the bright colors and the fun copy on the product pages.
Not a fan of: sites with tiny text or too many popups.

Your story

About us

This becomes your About page and the short blurb in the footer. Write it the way you would tell it to a customer at a market stand. We place it and format it; the words come from you.

Tagline examples

Candy with a little attitude.
Sweets that start trouble.
Small-batch candy, big personality.

Three short paragraphs is plenty: how it started, what makes your candy different, what you want people to feel.
See an example About story

Candy Riot started at Jess's kitchen table with one question: why does grown-up candy have to be boring? A few batches of extra-sour gummies later, our friends were asking for bags of their own, and then their friends were too.

Every flavor we make is tested until it makes us laugh or wince a little. We use real fruit flavoring, pack everything in small batches and ship it fresh, so what lands at your door tastes the way it did when we made it.

We are Jess and Lana, and we believe candy should be fun to open, fun to share and a little bit loud. Welcome to the riot.

Store details

Store contact and emails

These show up in order confirmations, the footer, your policies and the contact page.

Used in policies and on invoices.
Shown to customers. Replies to orders go here.
Can be more than one, separate with commas.
Required by Shopify for policies and tax. Tell us below if you do not want it shown publicly.
Social

Social profiles

We link these in the header and footer, and the Instagram and TikTok accounts are the ones we connect to Shopify for social selling.

Business accounts ready?
Instagram and TikTok shopping need business accounts. If you are not sure, we will check on the kickoff call.
Access

Shopify and domain access

You own every account. We get access through invites so you never have to share a password.

Please do not type passwords anywhere on this page. If an account only allows a login, tell us here and we will set it up together on a call.

Shopify

  1. If you have not opened a store yet, start one at shopify.com using a Candy Riot email address you will keep long term.
  2. In your Shopify admin, open Settings, then Users, then Security.
  3. Under Collaborators, copy the 4-digit collaborator request code and paste it below.
  4. When our request arrives, approve it from Settings, then Users.

Domain

GoDaddy calls this Delegate Access, Namecheap calls it Share Access, Squarespace adds a Domain Manager under Permissions. Niko will send the email address to invite.
We need to know so we do not disturb your inbox when the domain points to Shopify.
Catalog

Your first 8 products

We build these 8 products in the backend, and the recorded tutorials show you how to add the rest. Start with the example to see what a finished product looks like.

Navigation

Collections and menu

Collections are the aisles of your store. Customers shop by them and they become your main menu.

Starter collections, pick what fits
See an example

Sour: Pucker-up gummies and powders for people who like it hurting a little.
Gift Boxes: Ready-to-ship boxes for birthdays, thank yous and anyone who deserves a treat.
Riot Packs: Build your own bundle of three and save.

Fulfillment

Shipping and policies

Candy has a few shipping quirks, like chocolate melting in summer, so this section matters more than it looks.

Shopify uses box sizes to quote shipping.
See an example

Because candy is food, all sales are final and we cannot accept returns. If your order arrives damaged, melted or incorrect, email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will send a replacement or a refund.

Marketing

Email and SMS

We connect signup forms at checkout and in a popup so every customer stays reachable. Tell us what you want to offer.

Shopify Email is simplest. Klaviyo does more and has a paid tier as your list grows.

Wrap up

Anything else

Wholesale inquiries, gift notes, subscriptions, a feature you saw somewhere. If it is on your mind, put it here.

Features you might want
Some of these need a paid app or fall outside the original scope. We will flag anything that does before any work starts.
Last step

Send it to Ethos

Everything already saves as you go. Sending lets us know you are ready for us to review, and you can keep editing and send again any time.
